Clubs at RMS
Builders Club: This afterschool club's objective is to build strong leaders in school and in the community through service projects. Students will be deciding what activities and projects they'll be doing throughout the year. Faculty Advisors: Stephanie Hunnel, Dr. Elaine Semple. Meeting: Every Monday 3:00 – 4:00 in the Cafeteria (permission slips in the office).
Dance Club: This fun, active club meets in the cafeteria. Get ready to learn new dance moves and have a great time! Faculty advisor: Leslie Bezich. Meeting: Every Wednesday from 3:00 – 4:00 in the Cafeteria (permission slips in the office).
Game Day: Board games, card games, building games! (no video games) Students can drop in to play games with friends, or meet new friends that share the same interests. Faculty Advisor: Stephanie Hunnel. Meeting: Every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch in Room 29 (students can bring their lunch).
Glee Club: A fun place for students to be creative and express their dramatic/musical side! Stay tuned for updates on when and where. Faculty Advisor: Michael Fujii. Meeting: TBD.
Library: The school library and computer lab is open during lunch for students to do research and complete homework. Faculty Advisor: Jackie Reesha. Meeting: Every day at lunch in Room 18.
Running Club: The goal of this club is to give middle school students a variety of running experiences. The hope is that students will gain a love of running. Ultimately, the club's goal is to compete in a local Middle School Cross Country Meet as well as middle school track meets. Faculty Advisor: Chad Mabery with PTSA support. Meeting: Every Thursday from 3:00 – 4:15 in Room 23 (permission slips in the office).
Tall Flags/Drumline/Jazz: Dance and music combined with tall flags. Students will learn how to perform in group formations. Faculty Advisor: Karie Willett. Meetings: Tuesdays at lunch in Room 2.
Widget Club: The goal of this official Lego League club is to design and build Lego robotics to accomplish specific tasks and compete against other Lego robotis. Faculty Advisor: Joseph Petito. Meetings: Thursday from 3 – 4:15 in Room 27 (permission slips in Room 27).
Student Council: These elected representatives will help to plan and facilitate various student activities throughout the year. Besides these elected officers, each homeroom will elect a representative to participate in Student Council meetings and contribute to the decision-making process. Faculty Advisors: Michael Fujii, Kelli Whittaker, Jessica Rodriguez.
