I am so proud of all the kids that practiced track for that last couple of months. As a team we participated on Saturday, May 7th in the All-City Track Meet. Most of our kids won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons in their events. There were participatants in almost all the events. It was a proud day for Richardson. As soon as we receive the results with the times/measurements we will post them at school and on the website.
We all had a great time and look forward to more track meets next year! I really had a fun time watching the kids run hurdles and sprints, throw the shot put, practice relays, run the long jump and try the high jump. It was a great time to try new events and enjoy track. South High will be lucky to have some talented 8th graders next year on track and we hope to see the 6th and 7th graders again next year to improve their times and scores. Thank you to our coach Richard Egan and our weekly volunteers, Jeff Oden, DJ O'Brien, Bonnie Nakamoto, Linda Tookey and Carla Morgan. Everyone made track team's first year incredible.
